Order Questions

Q: How can I make sure my order is sent securely?

A: Many of our customers send their order through Royal Mail’s standard mail service, unfortunately we have become aware that some envelopes have been stolen. This is due to some customers sending coins against our advice not to. As a result, workers at Royal Mail have realised that cash is regularly sent to our postal address and subsequent mail has been intercepted. Although the Royal Mail team have taken action to stop these thefts, we are concerned it will still take place as long as our envelopes contain cash.

In order to make sure we receive your order form and payment, we advise you to send your envelope via Special Delivery. This service is available at your local Post Office, you will have to pay a charge for this type of delivery, however it makes the sending of your cash significantly more secure and prevents any Royal Mail staff stealing your money.

To make sure a high level of service is maintained and you receive your order safely, please take our advice and send notes only via the Special Delivery option. Thanks you.

Q: What should I do if I live abroad and want to make an order?

A: This is fine, just make sure to include your full address and country on the order for. We only accept cash, however other currencies can be used for payment; to find out the cost of your chosen card please email us and we will contact you with the price.

Q: What type of photo can I send?

A: As with all ID, it is advisable to send a passport photo as this will make the quality of your card better. It is your choice what photo you send, however we advise sending a recent Passport photo with a plain white background. Although you recent holiday photos may be lovely, the best ID photos are the ones without water skis in the background, so please stick to a passport photo on this occasion.

Q: What about a self addressed envelope?

A: There’s no need to send a SAE, you only need to worry about the order form you send us, we take care of all the other costs for delivering your card. Please read ‘How do I make sure my order is sent securely?’ for advice on how to send your order.

Q: My printer is broken, can I write the order form by hand?

A: Yes, that is fine! Just make sure all the requested details are included in clear block capitals to ensure there are no spelling mistakes on your card, don’t forget to leave a clear space around your signature as well.

Q: I have more than 1 ID to order...

A: You can send them all in the same envelope, just make sure all the information is included for each order.

Q: What do I do if I have forgotten part of my order in the envelope?

If you forget to send part of your order (eg. photo and/or payment) all you need to do is send it as soon as possible with a note explaining what has happened so we are aware of the mistake. Any incomplete orders are put on hold for 5 days, if we hear from you within this time your order will be processed. If in 5 days the forgotten item has not yet arrived we will send you a letter informing you of the missing item.

Delivery Questions

Q: How is my card sent to me?

A: All orders are processed on the day we receive them, as we are based in the UK we are able to complete the whole process in less than 1 week. Your order will be sent via First Class delivery in a discreet plain envelope, we do not include any of our company information on the envelope.
Delays can happen, if after 2 weeks your order has not arrived please contact us so we can resolve the issue.

Q: Do the name and address that will be printed on the card need to be the same as the delivery name and address?

A: It’s up to who you who and where the card is sent to and also what details are printed on the novelty ID. If they are not the same as your own details this is ok, as long as you choose to only use the ID for novelty purposes and not as a proof of age.

Q: Are discounts available if I wish to order lots of novelty IDs?

A: We are able to offer individual discounts, if you would like a quotation please contact us via email and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

Q: How can I trust Novelty Designs Ltd to send my card and not just take the money?

A: On the web there are some fake sites that do just this. However, we would like the assure you that Novelty Designs Ltd is not one of these fake sites. We pride ourselves on our great customer service, if you are particularly concerned please feel free to contact us via email and hopefully we will be able to put your mind at ease and reassure you that we offer a reputable service supplying your novelty ID card.

Legal Questions

Q: Is it legal to use a fake ID card?

A: We would like to inform you that all our cards are for novelty purposes only and should not be used in any other way. Please do not provide false details for any other reason than legal amusement.
As long as all the information you provide for the card is correct, it is not an offense to use it as a back up proof of age for entrance to pubs and clubs. However if any information is erroneous we urge you only to use the novelty ID for legal fun.
It is always best to take your passport of Driving License with you to prove your identity and age.
*Please note we will not make any special request IDs to copy a real card or make any changes to one of our own designs!*
